Q. Does adding your site in even small business directories help rank your site higher in search engines?
Or is it best to just stick with the big directories? I guess the question is - the more the merrier - big and small? Both will help your rankings in Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, etc.
Example of what I mean - There are some small rinky dink social networks *that maybe only is run by 1 or two people) with a place to list your business web site - will that also help your ranking.

How do you find out which companies manufacture which products?
Q. My ignorance of this arena as a whole makes framing the question difficult, but here goes:
Lets say I am an entrepeneur who wants to sell Christmas lights. I want to purchase them directly from the company that manufactures them - be they in China, the U.S. or whereever. Where does one look to find out this information. Is there a business directory of somekind?

A. GOOGLE THE PRODUCT SUCH AS LIGHTS/CHRISTMAS/ MANUFACTURERS / ANYWHERE .
Does google adsense allow adds to be placed in Yellowpages?
Q. If there is someone that does not know what yellowpages mean, it means a business directory listing website, snd that is where I plan to add adsense.

A. No, of course you can't.
Asense is for sites with large amounts of original text content - such as personal blogs, or sites offering information about topics from a new perspective.
Business directories are not at all suitable for Adsense.
