How can I market my new online job search engine to potential employers who would want to post on it?

Q. A friend of mine and I are starting a local job search website, and we're trying to think of good ways to get our name out to potential employers who would be interested in posting job ads on our site. Any ideas?

What's the best way to find a post college job or internship in Russia?

Q. I am currently looking for work in Russia and have only found limited resources just searching the web, specifically google...the job searches I have found mostly have English-teaching programs, which I am not interested in, and limited job and paid internship opportunities...i have fluency in Russian and am mostly interested in American companies hiring abroad in economics or business related fields...any help would be appreciated, thanks

What would be some fresh ideas for my job search - brainstorming?

I've thought of co-branding my spouse and myself as a Team, standing on a street corner with a sign - mom with 3 kids needs job, sending photos of the kids with resume to kid focused companies using their products, just hitting as many companies as possible with my resume - carrying job search business cards and handing those out wherever I go to anybody who would be willing to assist me in networking.....your ideas??? I know I'm getting a bit off the wall here - but I'm just brainstorming and need to pick the best ideas.....I need a job fast - quite desperate in fact.

A. Depending on the kind of work you do, the Internet offers lots of career advice and lots of jobwebsites as well. One such site is www.about.com (once on click on "Careers" under Employment (I think). Also, if you are a waitress as an example, you can go to any search engine like www.google.com or www.jux2.com or www.dogpile.com and type in "waitress employment" and you'll get some good sites. Also, try the biggies as far as jobbanks like www.monster.com and www.careerbuilder.com.

P.S. Even though you may BE desperate, do everything you can NOT to appear desperate during the interview
