than they should be synced together
go to contacts and hit menu and click account and select auto sync and the phone will sync any contacts you have there with your gmail account.
than go to gmail.com sign in and go to contact and than click android contacts and you will see everything there.

While the g1 is a nice phone tmobile is very behind in phone technology so the g1 isn't as good as an iphone and the apps are wack and useless. Q. i bought a used htc hero with google phone for sprint and when i send txt the old owners name comes up how can i change it to mine?

A. Well, you probably have to reset the phone back to the factory settings. When you first activate an Android phone, it requires you to sign into the device with a Google mail account. (If you don't have one, go on line and sign up for one...it's free). The phone will then sync all your email, contacts and calendar entries from your Google account to the phone automatically.

Sounds to me like the previous owner neglected to reset the phone.

In the settings, there's a place where you can reset the phone to the factory settings.

Menu > Settings > Security > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything

A. I'm not sure exactly what you mean:

Google Voice:
There is Google Voice - this is an online service by Google that requires an invite.
go to voice.google.com and poke around. If you already have a GMAIL account (get one if you don't), then they will allow you to request an invite. It took me about 2 months for my invite to come through - they gave me 5 invites to share... that was 6-7 months ago.

Google Android-based phones:
There is the Android phone (several models, produced by HTC and Motorola "droid") , they have recently been the subject of a lot of media hype and advertising. Do a search for Google Android - which is actually the phone's operating system.. you can get services for the HTC Touch and others using Android v1.6 on several North American cell carriers.. Only Verizon has the Android 2 "DROID" from Motorola.
These are considered to be contenders to move people away from the iPhone.. but so far not a chance.

Google designed phone using Android OS:
There are rumors - still not confirmed, that Google will be producing their own new phone later in 2010. It will take advantage of all the best Android / Droid features, and will have web browsing and multi-touch features built in. None of this is 'real' yet - and several marketing agreements with other companies will be violated if Google does this too soon.

When is the google phone coming to Verizon Wireless and did it already come to Verizon Wireless?

Q. Did the google phone come to Verizon Wireless? Is it the HTC DROID ERIS and/or the MOTOROLA DROID? Are there several versions for the google phone? Is the google phone different for each cellphone network? How much is it? I heard that is was coming to Verizon Wireless in the spring but I am not sure. If you know anything, please answer. A. At this time the HTC Eris and Motorola Droid are the only Android based phones for Verizon and run the latest versions of the Android OS. The original Google phone, the T-Mobile HTC G1, will probably never be released to another carrier because it can only run the first generation Android OS.
