How do you view pages without google ads?

Q. I keep trying to view pages; but its all covered with google ads. I downloaded greasemonkey for firefox and i dont know if i enabled it...can anyone help?

A. There are many ways through which you can block Google ads in any page. But I prefer adblock plus add-on and Greasemonkey.

The monkey head will be appearing in the status bar of your browser. If it is in thick brown color then you can confirm that Greasemonkey is enabled. You have to use scripts along with greasemonkey to block the ads. This link will help you (http://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/top-10-greasemonkey-scripts-to-improve-your-productivity.html). The 2nd point will answer your query.

Adblock Plus not only block Google ads, you can use it to block images, videos, flashy images etc. Here is a review of how to use it - http://techvi.blogspot.com/2008/08/review-of-adblock-plus-get-rid-of.html

What are the real google ads that you can make money from?
Q. My gf wants to start doing a work from home thing. She said something about google ads? I'm not sure which ones are not fake. Please help me. Thanks.

A. Fake? I don't get it.

But what she was talking about was Google AdSense program, where website owners place the ads from Google on their pages and get a cut of the revenues made by Google with these ads.

Is there anyway to get rid of the google ads that appear on the bottom of my HTC EVO 4G?

Q. When I am in certain screens of my phone, Google ads appear at the bottom. There doesn't seem to be anyway to get rid of them. It's just annoying that I have to look at ads everytime I use my phone.

A. That is due to the certain App from the Market you are using, because most likely you are using a free App. If you really want to get rid of the ad's you will have to find the version of the app that is not free which gets rid of all the ad's but other then that you can not remove them. It's just another way for the developer to get you to spend money on their application.

How do Google ads work as a consumer?
Q. I am really interested in how google ads works as a consumer. I and others can be browsing the net and visit a site that uses google ads - but how does google ads decide what ones to show? Are they based on history? searches? or completely random? This time a google search brings back how it works as a user of google ads - as a business. Can anyone shed light? Thanks.

A. They are most definitely not random. Google is keeping close tabs on what you search (Google), what websites you visit (Google Analytics - most sites use it), what videos you watch (Youtube), what your emails say (Gmail), what your documents say (Google Docs), where you go (Android geolocation) and many more.

So yes they have a pretty good idea of what you like to do in your spare time, and that's how they target the ads.

You won't find Google explaining this in any great detail, because it is just a little bit creepy.

How much money would I make from google ads?

Q. If i put google ads on my site and it gets 100k views/month mow much money would I make?
Also are google ads the best thing to go with? What other ad companies are there?

A. Just based on one pay per visitor ad progran, you might ear 1/2 cent per U.S. visitor ($500/mo), adsense earning vary depending on your content and what ads they judge to best match it.

There are better ad networks, I don't recall the names right now, though as I recall some require 500,0000 min a month.

Alternatives affiliate or PA links where you have to be involved in a bit of pre-sale, or the banner ad broker BuySellAds.com I believe the site takes a 10% commission off the rates quoted, there seem to be a lot of more obscure info & forum sites.

How can i earn through google ads on an informative website?

Q. How much can i earn in average per month, through Google Ads on A informative website about mobile revies, news, sms's and prices?

A. You need to generate traffic to your site to begin with... and provide quality, relative information on your topic...

I have a website setup that has a topic of local and world news around Pittsburgh PA, weather, sports, etc... and I generate around $90/month off of that alone... my site gets only 50k visitors, but around 90% of the traffic are from bookmarks and it being set to users homepages... My click thrus are about 10% of traffic, and the traffic to the links is of extremely high quality, so my eCPM on google is very high... I just need a few thousand more people to get on and it should be good!

It just depends on the quality of your content, but topic specific sites usually become search engine friendly, and become simple answer sites... so basically your website will get a high bounce rate (users reading an article, and leaving the site without clicking anything else on the site)...

If you have traffic, and you begin getting somewhat of a following, the more money you will make... growth and updates are required to grow your revenue...

Good luck...

Q. Hey, I'm on a message board for a flag football league and just this week all of a sudden, google ads have bombarded the site.

I was wondering if there is anything the webmaster can do to get them off the site permanently?

A. As the ads were placed there by the web master, you will not be able to remove them from the board, but there is a way that you can avoid seeing the ads.

There are a few methods where you can block your browser from showing adsense ads. Here is one for if you are using windows XP/2000

1. Go to Start -> Run
2. Type C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
3. Then Click OK
4. You will see a bunch of files. Right Click on the "hosts" file and choose open, and select Notepad
5. Add this to a new line at the bottom:
*.googlesyndication.com 127.0.0.1
6. Save the file

Now your browser should not display any adsense ads and you will be free to view the board ad free

Here is a review of how to use it - http://techvi.blogspot.com/2008/08/review-of-adblock-plus-get-rid-of.html

if you have nay doubts get back to me, so that I can help you
