A. check on google

How do I get to the top of Google searches for local businesses?
Q. I have a new website, companycasuals.com/adwearllc, for my company Ad Wear . How do I get to the top of the list when someone does a Google local search for - screen print Hattiesburg, MS?

A. I looked at the site.

I know that the site is for advertising on apparel, but I took a guess about that. There is nothing which states "Clothing, t-shirts, caps with your company logo or ad on them"
Think about it. Someone is not going to search for Hattiesburg AdWear are they?
No, they are going to search in their area for "logo t-shirt" or "advertising caps hats" and so on.
Also, there is nothing on the site which says Hattiesburg MS.

To get traffic to the site through organic searches, you need backlinks to the site. Google "Press Release sites" and find the hundreds of sites which allow anyone to publish a press release for their company for free.
Write a press release which describes "who, what, when, where and why" about your website and has a link to the site.

Next, make a squidoo lens and hubpage about the site. Have direct links and product links to your site. Include Hattiesburg MS on your hub page and lens.

Next, create a blog for your site on blogger. Include the company/website description, Hattiesburg MS and direct link to the site.

Next, bookmark the heck out of your site. You will need to create an account on each bookmark site which takes time but it is worth it. Use Onlywire.com to make things go faster. Bookmark with tags incluiding "advertising apparel, ads on caps, ads on shirts, company shirts, company hats, etc, Hattiesburg, MS" and so on.

It will take time, but you can work the search engines to find you.

I hope this helps,

What some cool ideas to promote a small business locally?
Q. How can you attract attention without spending a lot of money? I've already done Google Local.

A. I would suggest you to get your Google local listing to the top, this alone will fetch you very good results.....For the same you should do the following..

1) Add Full address, Phone Number to your website.
2) Use the same address and register your business to all the Internet Yellow pages.
3) Register yourself to Industry specific Directories and yellow pages
4) Get reviews for your business from your customers listed on all sites and also on your Google pages

Google Business isnt showing my listing. Who do I contact to find out why?

Q. I setup a Google local business listing account. I am wondering why it doesn't want to list me? I had it successfully setup at one time. Does anyone know who I can call or talk to about this? Its pissing me off. I am wondering if on or some of my local competition has something to do with it?

A. Go to www.google.com/local/add and add your listing there. Also be sure to sign up for the free webmaster tools and free google web analytics for your website. The Google Web Analytics is invaluable.

How do you get better Google Local Business rank?
Q. I have a website and it is listed within google local business, however its not on the first page. How do I raise the rank of that listing? what are the criterias?

A. I think by looking at the map and leaving reviews on the site. Soon I will ad my site http://www.njflorist.net . You can check it out in a few weeks and see where it stands.

How do I delete a yahoo local listing?
Q. I would like to delete my local listing as it is incorrect and it will not let me change the url. Any help would be appreciated.

A. Hello,

Once you get into your Yahoo account for our local listing at:
http://listings.local.yahoo.com/

...there is a "cancel" link in your active listings and you can follow the procedures from there. You can also look at Yahoo's help section at the below link:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ysm/ll/billing/billing-03.html

What I'm not clear about is why you are canceling your Yahoo listing? Reason I'm asking is that Yahoo gets it's local listing data from a larger wholesale company called Targus Info and Targus Info has a data service company by the name of Localeze that manages changes to local listing data.

Between the two of them your business listing is not only at Yahoo, but at hundreds of other websites. Additionally, there are other address data service providers in this industry and would include everything from Google, Bing, Merchant Circle, Yelp, Citysearch, Local.com, InfoUSA, DexKnows and many many others. Deleting from Yahoo doesn't necessarily mean that your listing will be removed from all these other websites.

Hope the above information helps.

Does anyone know of a calling service that tracks calls from your local ads on mobile phones?

Q. I have a local listing and want to know how many people call from it? It would be nice if the service also added me to all the search local listing sites and improved my rankings.

A. There are a couple solutions to handle this new area of internet marketing.

1. DIY $800 - $1500 solution:Buy your own phone number separate from your main line and use that. The problems, cost $30 a month per line plus you still have to enter your information into search listings and then edit them to get better listings rank or hire someone to do it. The cost yr 300 for the phone number - Plus Listing SEO work 500+ and the time to manage it.

2. Buy SAAS $ 199.99 FLAT FEE 6 months. NOT PER CALL BASED PRICING (Call based pricing can get costly). Buy a Local Ads performance call marketing program. Busicall.com is the only one of these services I know of. This is a new area of local listings. You buy a subscription to Busicall Service. The cost ranges from $199 to $899. It seems the 199.00 would fit most small business groups. The service is good for 6 months. They offer a money back if it does not work. They get a number assigned (internet friendly number for search) it to you, send you call reports every month. From the time the service goes live, they improve your ranking and handle the optimization of Google Places, Bing, Yahoo. etc - Much better deal than pay per call campaigns. Plus they have free webhosting - through hostgator....I used that to launch my mobile site.

3. .01 to 550 a call! Not a flat fee like Busicall. Click to call banners on mobile devices. Get a adsense account and turn on mobile marketing. Then build a banner and follow the directions in this new advertising arena. Microsoft and Google are both going after this market hard. Even though it is a banner ad, people click on it to initiate a call. Where as Busicall is a local listing only and you click on the number. This is a new exciting area of the internet.

4. DO nothing, when a call comes into your business ask how they found you and if they click on a mobile ad or local listing.

what is the way to meet the condition of google please share me.?

Q. Hello master,

i post reviews in Google local place listing but Google remove my reviews .master your ans is I do not meet the condition of Google. please share me what is the conditions of Google to post reviews. and what we done that Google not remove my reviews.

A. For starters, your grammar and spelling are absolutely horrendous! Secondly, your starting question does not even make sense! Why would anyone want to share you with Google? Before you post any more reviews, learn to write proper English! Thirdly, if you understood English, you would be able to read the conditions that Google has set in order to prevent low quality reviews on their listings. Please do everyone a favor, do not write any more English in public until you can use proper English! It will save all of us from having permanent brain damage reading any of your questions and trying to understand them.
