How safe is 8th st in san francisco?
Q. My friend and I are planning to walk from Civic Center bart station to 8th and Brannan St. The route we are taking is just straight down 8th street but google told me that there might be incomplete pedestrian paths on that way. I want to know if it's relatively safe to walk (during day) if not, what other routes would be better? Also what kind of businesses/environment can we find on our walk?

Thank you very much.

A. The area will be safe for you to walk. You can even take the 19 Polk bus if you want to, fare is $2 per person. There are sidewalks on either side of the street so you will have pedestrian access though they may be working on curbs or sidewalks, I don't know simply because I've not walked that route in the last few months.

The area is mostly office, light industry. You'll pass a few restaurants, coffee shops, some resident hotels, a power substation, and a charity called St. Vincent De Pauls.

How do I capture the screen image of a place in street view in Google Maps?
Q. How do I capture the screen image of a place in street view in Google Maps?

A. Press the "Print Screen" or "Prt sc" button on your keyboard, usually above the backspace button.
It copies your screen and puts it on your clipboard. To save the picture, go to Paint or Paint.net, hit "Control + V" to paste, crop the photo to your liking, and save the picture.
