Why does Safari quit while downloading Google Chrome?

Q. I have been trying to download Google Chrome (through Safari), but every time I hit download, the download bar begins to fill then Safari quits unexpectedly. I have tried downloading Explorer with the same results. Is there something else I should do to solve this problem?

A. What makes it especially odd is that it does the same thing when trying to download Internet Explorer. It actually sounds like you could have picked up some malware that is preventing you from downloading another browser (some actually do this once they've infected one browser to stop you from gaining access to an uninfected browser). I'd try running something like Malwarebytes or another free anti-virus/anti-malware program. Just a hunch. Good luck!

Q. I'm thinking of downloading google chrome instead of using the old Internet Explorer. So, when i download Google Chrome, will it erase or delete Internet Explorer? Bceause i still want it on my desktop. Thanks.
