What is the best online translator for french?

Q. I usually use google translation, but it seems as if it always comes out wrong. I used to use babel fish but I got away from it because it more time consuming. Does anybody have a go-to site for english-french translation?

A. wordreference.com
It translates word for word but gives you alot of details. There's also forums that you can join to get translations from native speakers.

What is the idiomatic (en argot) French translation of « a breath of fresh air »?
Q. I do not want a Google translation; I also speak French myself. I would like to know the terminology a native Francophone would use, please.

A. There's an expression " Un grand bol d'air" , literally a big bowl of air . So you can say " Un bol d'air frais" . It's not slang, it's an idiomatic expression . I can't see a slang phrase for that .

Besides, the usual expression is " Une bouffée d'air frais" . I think it's what you want .

What is basic idea in language translation in web programming ?
Q. Suppose i have a web site i wanna show it in multiple languages
what are the programming changes to database html or php if the php is server side tech.

do not suggest any translation tool like google translation.
i wana do it using programming like utf and unicode method

All answer are welcome

A. Look up âLanguage translation softwareâ in Google. There is a lot of it around. The good stuff is expensive.

But none of these products do anything close to a perfect job.

You canât use Unicode or UTF to translate. Unicode is only a method to allow you to easily display the character sets that are used in various languages. But something else, whether it is Google translation or other translation software or you, yourself, must know how to use the Unicode characters.

Essentially, if you want a website to appear with text in English, French, German, Japanese, and Arabic, then you need to learn those languages, or get some people who know those languages to work with you on the site, or use translation software like Google translation.

There is no âbasic ideaâ in language translation for web programming that is different from any other language translation.
