How can i make sure that google advertises on my website?

Q. ok, i bought domain name and web space online...but i want to make sure that google advertises on my website, so that i get income out of ad revenue...how can that be possible?

A. http://www.google.com/adsense

I have just opened a Cajun restaurant; can anyone recommend a few good ways to advertise and get traffic?
Q. Some of my friends have recommended using Yahoo or Google advertising, others have mentioned using mobile advertising. All have suggested keeping it "local." I am not sure how to do that and hoping folks can recommend from their own experience...

A. Lately mobile advertising has been a good alternative to using traditional means such as newspapers, radio, billboards, etc. Location Based Advertising provides the advantage of only targeting people in a certain area. I would suggest looking into location based advertising companies for mobile such as AdLocal. You could also try general mobile advertising with a company like AdMob.

How much does it cost to advertise on google?
Q. I can't find anyway to contact them without actually applying for an ad and I was just wondering if anyone had used google advertising (I think it's called adwords) and could give me a price estimate (as in cost per ad size, content, reach, etc...)

Thanks!

A. Google does not carry ads as a newspaper does. There is not a set fee. All the Ads are the same size. Just a listing.

When you do a search on Google at the top of the search engine results page (SERP) and on the right hand side are sponsored ads. These ads are Adwords ads. They are content related to your search.

You must have a Google account that is free, get a Gmail account and that is your account set up.

Go to the link below and there are training videos to help you make and have displayed your ad.
Look at search results in sponsored results to give you an idea of layout. The Ad must use the keywords that are relevant to your product or service and usually take people to a website. The more relevant the Ad to the target webpage the cheaper the Ads would be, you get a quality score, the higher the score the cheaper your cost per click.

There are two ways using Adwords to pay for these ads. PPC Pay per click and PPV Pay per view. PPC is the most expensive and is based on the keyword used. PPV is cents per 1,000 views that people have not clicked on just displayed. If they click on your Ad there is no further cost.

Either way you do not "pay" in advance technically, they take a credit card number and your estimated spend based on what you are willing to pay on a daily budget basis.

Which country the Ads are displayed is your selection when setting up your Ad. This can be done down to City level. You choose. There is no charge until the Ads are being viewed or clicked.

You then set up your Ad and alternative optional test Ads to see which one works best and have your Return on Investment worked out.

Warning it can cost you a lot if you do not define how much you are willing to spend and for how long. If you do not know or are not sure what to do, spend a lot of time studying how to do this properly or use a professional. The cheapest long term method is to have your website search engine optimized and get free Page 1 Position 1 listing in the organic - free listings.
