How many years did African-American slaves have to work in order to earn their freedom? 7 years or 20?

Q. I'm doing a project and Google Search isn't helping, and I don't have any books with me right now on the subject. They had to pay off their debt of the ship costs by working....how many years til they could be set free after working off their debt???

A. .

The overwhelming vast majority of the African-American
enslaved people were not allowed to "earn their freedom".

This is because they were 'Chattel-Slaves' (meaning
they were listed as being 'property', rather than
human beings, AND the 'slave-property staus'
passed generationally from mother to child)

The group that was allowed to "earn their freedom"
was only the 'Indentured Servants' (which is what
some of the European immigrants were -- such
as the Irish, Scottish, German, etc. immigrants).

The 'Indentured Servants' served a term of 7 to 14
years (depending on circumstances); were trained
in a given 'trade'; and did not find their 'status'
passed on generationally to their offspring.

Can the police go onto my property without a Search warrant?
Q. can they? can i refuse them to go onto my property without a search warrant/probable cause? what else could they do to get on my property withotu a warrant?

A. Not enough details here to answer accurately but the answer is yes.

There are a number of reasons the police can enter property without a search warrant.

To deal with a breach of the peace, to protect life and property, to arrest a person wanted for a number of offences etc.
To search property of a person under arrest (if authorised by a police inspector) - the list goes on and on but few details are provided in your question to tie it down to what you are after.

For information, there are a number of other agencies (such as the gas board) who also have a right to enter private property without a warrant.

It's a fallacy that a warrant is needed in every case. Google PACE and see the exceptions to needing a warrant.

How can I make sure my past Google searches dont show up?
Q. I know in order to delete them, you highlight it and press delete.
BUT I want to make sure my past searches never show up again. Is there anything I can do?
I am NOT talking about the toolbar either

A. Right-click on explorer and select internet properties.

Were you looking at porn? lol
