What is the best way to create a free website?

Q. Hello everyone. I would like to make a website, just for the fun of it.
I have seen so many websites that allow you to make a free website but I would like to know, which is the best?
-It must be free
-no downloading
-does not make you put in your personal info (telephone #, address, etc.

Thank you.

A. Before we begin, grab yourself this software: There everywhere on Google
â¢NVU
â¢Filezilla
â¢WinRar
Thereâs nothing worse than building something and when developing a website for it, you donât know how. When this happens, and you donât know whether to pay for a designer or do it yourself, you might as well, give in and quit.
The first step is to decide whether you want to pay for a designer or not. If itâs a piece of software you developed, the answer is no. Designers tend to not know exactly what you want, if youâve just developed a program or something, also develop the website.
The next step is to find a domain; a domain is basically the address that someone puts into a browser to find your site. The average price for one of these is $5.95 a month. (With hosting) Do a quick Google search and youâll find millions of domain sites.
Where do you stick your site if you donât have a place to upload it to? Get a web host; they usually come with your domain. A great hosting and domain provider is www.aussiehq.com.au
So youâve paid for everything and now you need to get developing. But what do you do if you have no software? Get some. Great examples of free software are Nvu but the best are programs such as adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression web.
If designing a website doesnât suit you, grab yourself a free template at www.freewebtemplates.com they look great and all you have to do is change the text.
So youâve built the site and you need to upload it, uploading is much easier when the file is in a zip file so using WinRar, zip up the contents of your site and put it somewhere on your desktop.

Install Filezilla, an ftp client and begin. Fill in the login form with the details you should have got from your hosting provider and upload the zip file you just created. Depending on your internet speed and the size of your website, after about 10 min, you should have a brand new, fresh website on the internet.
Remember to update it frequently!
