Q. The name that I want for my website is already in use on the .com domain. However, It's available on .net. If you've got .net are your traffic numbers lower? Can I get a .net address and still drove lots of traffic to my site? If people do google or yahoo searches will a .com address rank higher than a .net address?
A. You should pick out a new name so that you can use .com. Tony is right, .net is typically used by hosting companies or other companies that are creating a "network" of some kind. There are a lot of domain search tools that will suggest alternatives. You can also try the Google Addwords keyword generator to find out the most commonly searched words related to your website and then use some of them in your website name. And remember, unless you are very lucky, a website is not a magic box that makes money, but if you have a successful business already, you do need a website for credibility.

I believe from what ive heard you have to pay blizzard to "legaly" host a private server, you should e-mail blizzard asking about this. http://www.FreeWebs.com is a great website where you can host your own websites for free, and a good way to advertise is by making videos and uploading them to youtube and Google Videos. Thats what i did and it got me alot of trafic, or you can also use Google AddWords (not free)
