How to get Firefox to search Google whenever I type something in the adress bar?

Q. For example on Google Chrome if you type something in the address bar it will automatically search Google's search engine. Can you do this with Firefox and if so how?

A. It should do it by default, but you will need to read this http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-web-address-bar to learn how to turn it back on. This is a good extension http://www.instantfox.net/ that might also fix the problem as a workaround if you don't want to follow those instructions.

A. If you want to change your default search engine from Google to Yahoo! or Bing, here's what to do:

â¢From the home screen, tap on the Settings app
â¢Tap on Safari.
â¢Tap on Search Engine.
â¢Select the new Search Engine.
Once you quit settings, your selection will remain the default Search Engine until you change it again.
