How do you update Google places fast?

Q. I work for a marketing company - I need to do some work for a client and I need to get them on Google places asap - any help??

A. I haven't heard of any way to speed up Google, other than making sure you have set it up properly so there are no delays getting things corrected, Google says it takes up to 2 weeks.

In the mean time you could also start getting citations on other online super/yellow type pages, you can also find paid services that trickle listings onto a bunch of directories, being very consistent in the information form is important. It seems citations and reviews don't have the power they once did, the ranking of the company site seems to be a big factor in ranking a place page as well.

why was Google's Places directory removed from the droid market?
Q. I used to have it on my HTC aria, and then i broke the screen on it, insurance sent me a new one, and now i cannot find the Google Places app ANYWHERE.. you cant buy it in the market or online and its definitely not already installed... HMMMM.. anyone know?

A. The most current version of Google Maps has a Places Directory built into it. If you have the most current version of Google Maps you should also have an app called Places.

Why can I buy good quality fabric?
Q. Here in america, the only fabric stores are Jo-Annes fabric, and the quality is terrible. I tried to google places, but I can only find interrior fabric stores. What can i do. I live near pheonix.

A. Actually, we've got pretty good fabrics in the US, but you're not going to find the good stuff in the large chains.
