how do i make my address bar automatically search google?

Q. i have a mac. i have a search bar to the side of my address bar that is google, but i would like my address bar to automatically search google. i dont know if that makes any sense so i'll try to word it differently. when i type something in the address bar, for example "mac help", it comes up with a verizon search. but i want it to come up with a google search because it's just more convenient. thanks!

A. it does make sense and works in Google Chrome.
i don't know about other browsers but it works in Chrome for sure.

even there is an option of Omnibox. when you are typing in address bar it starts searching just like Google search works.

Does anyone know of a good but inexpensive program that will when given a keyword search google?

A. Yahoo! Pipes is your best bet for something like this.

The only issue might be that it is limited in the number of results that are returned. The Google API can be used to get an XML list of _all_ search results, but I'm not an expert in that area.

Your approach will be to build a pipe that retrieves the search results from Google as XML, and then spit them out as CSV. It's simple enough to do - the most difficult bit will be working out the format for the Google search URL.

How come when you put 1.2% of 19250 in Google Search, google says the answer is 231 but all the site?
Q. How come when you put 1.2% of 19250 in Google Search, google says the answer is 231 but all the sites below say its 2310? lol probaly a very stupid problem but its 5 o clock in the morning and i have to finish this external diploma thing and new born keeps waking up. thank you

A. Seriously.. googling maths problems is not a good idea.

At least google "online percentage calculator" instead of googling the actual problem.
http://www.onlineconversion.com/percentcalc.htm

But it's much easier to just type this in to your calculator:
19250 * 0.012 = 231

If you just want to roughly check the answer..
19250 =100% right?
so,
19250 / 100 = 1%
19250 / 100 = 192.5

1% is pretty close to 1.2% so you know it CANT be 2310.
