Google is not an option for my search engine on Chrome?

Q. My default search engine just changed itself to yahoo and when i go to the settings menu on chrome google does not appear as an option. How can i get it back?

A. 1) Go to settings
2) Scroll to 'Search'
3) Click on "Manage search engines"
4) See if Google is on the list.
5) If not, in the "Other Search engines" option,
Put www.google.com in the first box
Google.com in the 2nd box
"http://www.google.com/search?q=%s&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t" in the 3rd box.(without the " ")

Why are there "floating ads" in every Google chrome window I open?
Q. There weren't any ads yesterday, today they appear wherever I go on Google chrome, even google.
Is there anything I can do?
Can it be an extension I downloaded from a movie site so I can see their movies?

A. Google chrome is
one big piece of google spyware.

5 seconds after launch it calls home,
then it starts reporting back to google analytic's
information about every website you visit
and what you did while you were there.

a unique number is created when you first use google chrome
that is used to identify you personally over the internet.

all of this info about you is made available to anybody that requires it.
advertisers mostly use this info to target you personally
with ads based on the type of sites you visit.

it also installs an updater that starts with every computer start up.

Stop using google chrome.

try SRWare iron > http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php
it is a chrome browser without the (legal) google spyware.

or even better, there is
comodo dragon > http://www.comodo.com/home/browsers-toolbars/browser.php

and make sure you install an ad blocker.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom

and yes there is always the possibility
you have installed an adware infected item
on to your computer.

Is there any Google Norton safe web search for Google Chrome?
Q. I have just switched to Chrome and want an add-on just like Norton safe web search on Chrome for Google. Norton safe web search is not for chrome, so I just want any add-on for Chrome that can do the same thing as Norton safe web search. Any ideas?

A. Chrome pretty much has safe search built in, it'll use the same "red light stop" approach that the Norton extension does. Check out Google's Chrome page for their security specs:

Good Luck!
