Are there any good portable fish finders on the market?

Q. I take my son fishing to a couple of lakes and, because I don't own a boat, I always rent one for the day.
Do you know if there are portable fish finders that can readily attach to a rented 4 person aluminum boat?
If so, where can I buy one.
Any help will be appreciated.

Google terrain map: I found my property but still can't figure out how to determine its elevation?

Q. Someone told me I could find my property's elevation by going to Google maps and clicking on terrain. I did that, found the location of the property, but don't see any option for determining elevation. Any ideas?

A. I do not know how to see this on google maps. Only see distance

But, try http://www.topozone.com/ type in your address and see if it works. Follow the topo line.

how do you change the finder and trash can icons on the mac dock?

Q. i can change everything else, but since the finder or trash icon won't appear in the finder itself, i can't change it like the rest.
