A. If you have a site, Google will probably find it eventually but to speed things up you can submit it yourself with https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/. That doesn't cost a thing but you need a gmail account. You can manually submit it like this to most any search engine or use a submission tool like http://www.webceo.com/ - I use the free version all the time, it submits to multiple search engines at once. It will let you enter keywords and a description as well. (Keywords could be it's own question!). Yahoo hosting shouldn't effect your google rankings although perhaps it helps your yahoo ranks. If you're talking about web hosting services, I don't think google, yahoo, amazon, or ebay are web hosting services. You won't get a website from them. You'll have to look on the internet for a package that is right for you (how much disk space you want, bandwidth, features, etc.

How do I find a good web hosting service?
Q. I am trying to learn web design and need to find a cheap web host. I checked out Comcast and Google but they just have these pre-designed templates that look like they're for people who just want to post stuff about their family reunion, etc. What I want to do is design pages in html and CSS and display them and the ones I mention won't let me do that.
