How do I get more traffic to my website?

Q. My website is www.bulletins4myspace.bravehost.com

And I am hardly getting any views, is there a way to increase the amounts of hits besides from adding your url to the google adds crawlers. Any other search engines?

A. You can't just rely on search engines to get good traffic. Getting a good rank on search engines takes time and effort too. So meanwhile you can start other forms of online advertisements like PPC, classifieds. You can try leaving comments on blogs and forums. Be active in social networking sites like facebook, myspace and so on. the more people will know about the site, the more there are chances of getting the word out. Also known as viral marketing. Try opening profile on linkedin and konnects too. I think social networking sites might really help you get good traffic. Good Luck!!!

How can i convert a myspace image HTML code to an Image URL?
Q. I am tryin to convert a code of something i made with the custom extended network generator. I want to know how to get that into an image URL? ....

A. head over to www.photobucket.com , sign up and upload the picture and it should then give you 4 options of code you can use.

How can I block a specific url without buying more software?
Q. A porn url linked to aa site I visit often keeps opening a series of windows in spite of Google and UYahoo pop-iup blockers. Neither allows me to manually add a url to the blocked list. Any answers that won't cost me money?

A. Use your hosts file.

Locate the file as:
Windows XP = C:\ WINDOWS\ SYSTEM32\ DRIVERS\ ETC
Windows 2K = C:\ WINNT\ SYSTEM32\ DRIVERS\ ETC

Open it with note pad (it doesnt have a default program to open with so select it from the list)

Add the domain name that keeps opening then put some spaces and then put 127.0.0.1 so they are both on the same line.
You have to have <space>'s between, NOT tabs.

www.blurb.com 127.0.0.1
blurb.com 127.0.0.1

Save the file and whenever that site is requested in future it will fail to load as it will be using the address from your hosts file and not the DNS servers on the net.
